What is the climate like?

Warm and sunny from May to October. Expect hotter days in July–August (around 30°C) and cooler evenings in spring and autumn. We provide extra blankets, but bring cosy pyjamas in the low season.

What facilities does Le Camp offer?

Spacious family shower rooms, plus some tents with private en-suite showers. A fully equipped Summer Kitchen with individual cooking stations, shared BBQs and dishwashers. Mount Kenya has its own private outdoor kitchen. Covered dining and lounge area, outdoor games, free washing machine, maps and guidebooks, multiple charging points, free Wi-Fi and parking near each tent.

What provisions are provided at Le Camp?

Comfy beds with all bedding and towels (except pool towels), toiletries, and essential kitchen condiments and supplies. You’ll also find books, board games, toys and crafts for families. Plenty of charging points are available around Le Camp, with some tents offering a USB solar charger.

Can we bring our dog?

Yes—well-behaved dogs are welcome (€5/day). To ensure everyone’s comfort, please keep your dog on a lead, never leave them unattended, and bring their own bed and bowl. Contact us if you have any questions.

What should I bring with me?

A torch, pool towels, warm pyjamas and a jumper for cooler mornings. Bring a mask/snorkel for kids, plus suitable footwear for our hilly terrain. You’ll also need closed shoes for activities like tree ropes or horse riding, and river shoes for kayaking.

Is Le Camp wheelchair accessible?

Unfortunately, due to our steep, wooded valley terrain, Le Camp is not suitable for wheelchair access.

Are there any rules for the natural swimming pond?

The natural pond is a peaceful, chemical-free space. Please follow these key rules:

Opening hours: closed during maintenance (8:00–10:00) and after 20:00.
Safety: the pond is unfenced, with a safety gate. Children must be supervised at all times.

Hygiene:

  • Shower before swimming (soap provided).

  • Do not swim if you have gastric or flu-like symptoms.

  • Sunscreen is not compatible with natural pools — UV swim clothing is recommended.

  • Toilet available in the pool area.

  • Non-toilet-trained children must wear swim nappies.

Animals: Dogs are not allowed inside the fenced pool area.

Can I take Le Camp private ?

Yes — Le Camp can be booked privately for wellness retreats, sports groups, family reunions or gatherings with friends.
If you are considering a private booking, feel free to contact us for more information.

Please note that Le Camp is a quiet, peaceful place:
➡️ Parties and loud events are strictly forbidden.
