Our region is filled with ancient hilltop villages, medieval towns, and remarkable historic sites — all within easy reach.
Just fifteen minutes from Le Camp lies Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val, a beautifully preserved medieval town voted the third favourite village in France in 2015. It was also the setting for the film The Hundred-Foot Journey starring Helen Mirren. Wander through its maze of narrow alleys and canals, dine by the river, browse the artisan shops and independent boutiques, or visit the award-winning Sunday market, ranked among the best in the country.
Only twenty minutes away, Cordes-sur-Ciel, named France’s favourite village in 2014, rises dramatically above the valley like something from a fairytale. A little further, Najac charms visitors with its romantic ruined castle and lively summer night market. Nearby Penne and Bruniquel both boast impressive medieval châteaux — perfect for a short scenic drive.
Just ten minutes from Le Camp, the Abbaye de Beaulieu-en-Rouergue hosts exceptional contemporary art exhibitions in a serene, historic setting. Recent installations include Johan Creten’s Le cœur qui déborde (“The Overflowing Heart”).
And for a day trip, Albi — our nearest cathedral city — offers beautiful boutiques, the world-renowned Toulouse-Lautrec Museum, and a UNESCO World Heritage old town. History lovers can also explore prehistoric caves nearby, including the famous Pech Merle Caves, just over an hour’s drive away, where original cave paintings are still visible.

We've returned to Le Camp every year for 8 years. We love it. With only 7 tents in the large wooded valley, there is space to unwind in peace and tranquillity. Our (now) teenage boys roam around the valley, jump in and out of the magical natural pool, play games and make friends with other children on the site - exactly as they did when they were 5 and 7 and we first came.

🍷 A Taste of South West France
The Tarn-et-Garonne is often called the garden of France, and it’s easy to see why. All around Le Camp, you’ll find award-winning farmers’ markets, charming bistros, fine restaurants and seasonal food festivals — a true paradise for food lovers.
Our fully equipped summer kitchen was designed to make the most of this abundance. Wander through a local market, fill your basket with fresh, colourful produce, then come back to camp to cook up a feast. Fire up one of the barbecues, make your own pizzas in the wood-fired oven, or share a meal under the pergola as the sun sets.
For wine enthusiasts, the Gaillac vineyards are just 30 minutes away. We can help you plan a vineyard tour or a wine-tasting evening — relaxed, family-friendly, and full of local charm. And if you prefer hops to grapes, don’t miss our excellent local brewery, which crafts some delicious IPAs.
On-site for Kids: Freedom, friendship and adventure!
A natural playground for children
Le Camp is a place where kids can truly be kids — free to explore, play and connect with nature in a safe and welcoming environment. They’ll spend hours chasing frogs by the natural pool, diving in the deep end or paddling along the pebble beach. Their imaginations come alive as they build dens, hunt for fossils and discover the small wonders of the outdoors.
There’s table tennis, pétanque, art materials, toys, board games and books for all ages. By the end of your stay, you might just find it’s the children who don’t want to leave.
On-site Relaxation for Grown Ups & Groups
Slow down and reconnect
Le Camp is designed to help you unwind in a beautiful, unspoilt environment — a place where you can truly appreciate the quiet rhythms of nature. Watch dragonflies skim across the water, listen to owls calling after sunset, or simply enjoy the rare luxury of doing nothing at all.
Many guests tell us how many books they manage to read during their stay — a small miracle made possible by switching off from digital life while the children play freely.
For deeper relaxation, we can arrange massages, yoga sessions, meditation, reiki, cookery workshops, wine tastings and on-site catering, including vegan and gluten-free options.
